Giovanni Gasperi after an honours
degree in business administration at Milan L. Bocconi University, began
his career at an Italian M&A boutique owned by Crédit
Agricole group. After an industrial experience in the Italmobiliare
Group, his private equity experience began in 1995 at SOPAF, a well
known independent venture capitalist and private equity investor listed
on the Italian Stock Exchange. In 1998 he joined Arca Impresa Gestioni
SGR, the private equity arm of the Italian asset management group ARCA,
as Director and became Partner in 2000.
In 2004 he moved to ABN Amro Capital, one of the most important
pan-European mid-market private equity players. At the beginning of
2007 Giovanni founded the investment company Mid Equity Partners S.p.A.
and in march 2007 arranged its first deal: the MBO of Ferdinando
Giordano S.p.A., the third Italian wine producer.
